WASHINGTON --The National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center’s (IPR Center) consumer-based automotive safety campaign launched last fall continues to resonate across the country as broadcasters and print media continue to share details of the campaign. "Put the Brakes on Fakes” is intended to inform consumers about the life-threatening hazards of counterfeit automotive parts that can lead to catastrophic injuries or fatalities in the event of a crash.

The campaign recently aired on multiple affiliates of an Atlanta-based television network featuring a more in-depth story with IPR Center National Program Manager Andrew Lee, a Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agent who manages the Center’s programs addressing counterfeit automotive issues.

You can view the story that aired as part of the network’s investigative division, InvestigateTV.
